Iyetra: episodic sci-fi/fantasy fiction series
Iyetra: episodic sci-fi/fantasy fiction series

The astute reader may have noticed a screeching halt when it comes to updates. I haven't abandoned anything, but much of my free time for the past month and a half has been absorbed by a writing project I've been incredibly interested in. This past week I released my first piece of published fiction, book one in an episodic series of sci-fi/fantasy. It's already on the Amazon Kindle store as we speak and it will be popping up on other distribution sites (like the iBooks and B&N stores) as soon as they update their listings.

Experimentals
Experimentals

You may have noticed some rearrangements around here. First and foremost, I'm trying out running a banner ad up at the top of the website (and within the RSS feed). Knowing how this stuff works I am assuming that most of my readership is actively blocking them, but I tried to make the banner ad as unobtrusive as possible. This is just something temporary as an experiment; having worked at Yahoo! in the past I have a moral predisposition against internet advertising, so I'm only giving it a trial run for a month or two.

Welcome to ctrlclick.com!
Welcome to ctrlclick.com!

After various amounts of work adjusting the layout and getting everything migrated I'm quite excited to announce the opening of ctrlclick.com, the new home of what used to be joshuameadows.com. As I've mentioned here a few times I no longer feel the content I write about here is quite appropriate to be housed under an address so specific and personal to myself, so I think that it is better kept in this new location.

Upcoming transitions

In a period of time to be determined (either immediately or sometime in the next few days, depending on free time and motivation), this site will be transitioning from its current domain to ctrlclick.com. I have a lot of reasons for wanting to do this; I feel that a domain name based around someone's real name probably should be full of personalized content, and that's not really been the focal point of my writing here for quite some time, so I don't feel that it's all that fitting any longer.

Upcoming additions

As I have mentioned before, this site used to be part of extensive archives going back to 2000. Although largely I'm happy with my decision to excise the old archives, from time to time I lament the removal of some entries that I've written in the past which I particularly enjoyed.

Things suddenly got a lot more fabulous
Things suddenly got a lot more fabulous

I am extremely thrilled to write a quick note announcing that I got invited to sign on as a writer for GayGamer.net, a popular and long-running blog focused towards the LGBT gamer. I started officially today and my first entry was published a couple hours ago. I'm very excited about it; it's an extension of […]

Ready to go
Ready to go

Since I was a teenager, journals in some form have been an integral part of my composition. When I was younger I would make a habit of writing a page or two a day, at least, scribbling down the thoughts that were most important to me (which that age was usually school drama, boys, parent […]
